Well, thanks for the topic. I feel, we as a nation we waste lots of our precious time in holidays. The same working hours can be spent working for the nation. I strongly feel we should only have minimum holidays. Do you have an idea how much time resource is wasted in one holiday? Time lost on one holiday is = 1,369,979,277 x 8 = 10, 959, 834, 216 working hours.
Keeping in mind such a colossal loss of time, I strongly feel we should change the way we celebrate certain occasions by having holidays. I think we can begin with October 2, the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. If he were alive, living among us, he would have loved to suggest us the same as he was in favor of utilizing time in achieving our goals. India needs to work tirelessly to achieve many goals to be an advanced country. Achieving these goals is possible by working for them; not by wasting precious time in holidays.
