2> if any break in wire causes circuit break in series connection but this is not possible in parallel connection.

Yes the reason behind it is suppose if there may fault occur in any of the electrical appliances other appliances remain unaffected because in parallel voltage across all the devices are same but current is different .
If they are in series then due to one appliance all the appliances will also affect because current through all the appliances are same.
