"We are not afraid to die.... if we are all together" is a touching saga of the adventure of a family who are descendants of the great Captain Cook. The 37 year old Gordon Cook and his wife Mary and two Children Jonathan and Suzzane hoped to follow their great ancestor in duplicating his voyage to Australia in a wooden hulled, sail driven boat they have made. In spite of the months of training, the boat faces many dire situations in the course of the voyage.

All the passengers, old and young contracted multiple injuries physically and emotionally. But the patience and forbearance shown by the two young children is amazing. In spite of the injuries, Suzzane did not bother her father because she knew that he was working hard to save them. In stead, she made a funny card of their family. It was Jonathan who stoically announced that he did not mind to die if they are all together in it. This gave Captain Gordon great courage and went on to prove to his children that he cared. This helped him to overcome all the difficulties and fight against the odds. At last they emerged successful, though battered, as a family. Suzzane had to undergo many surgeries to remove the blood clots in her head. But the family which was ready to die together survived together. In that way, this is an apt title to the story.

hey frnd

The narrator begins waterproofing the gaping holes. Most of the water now deviated to the side. However, their hand-pumps block due to debris and the electric-pump gets short-circuited. Fortunately, he finds a spare electric pump and connects it to an out-pipe in order to drain out the water.

They keep pumping and steering all night long. Even their Mayday calls are not answered as they are in a remote corner of the world.
