Fuels when burnt release carbon dioxide which is a Green house gas.
The carbon dioxide traps the sunlight and doesnt allows it to go after reflecting from the earth. and this way the heat is remained on the earth playing a major role in the causes of global warming.

Hope u got that

This is beacause burning of fuels like coal release carbon monoxide gas which is not good for the Earth's atmosphere. Diesel and petrol, on the other hand release sulphur. This sulphur combines with nitrogen in the atmosphere and forms acid rain. Most of the fuels release carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide etc. gases which trap the heat rays of the sun, thereby, increasing the temperature of Earth and causing global warming.
