We see a flash earlier than thunder because the speed of light ( 3 × 10^8 m/s) is much greater than the speed of sound ( around 344 m/s).

Hope it helps.......

Question-

We see flash earlier than thunder. Explain?

Answer-

We see flash earlier than thunder because the speed of light is more than the speed of sound. Sound is slower, it takes some more time than light to reach us. This is why we see flash earlier than thunder sound.

Speed of sound - 330m/s at 0 degrees celsius

Speed of light- 3*10^5 km/s
