"Burning of dried leaves and husk produce high smoke. Smoke releases high number of pollutants and carbondioxide into the air.

It is very harmful to surrounding living organisms including human beings also. The chemical reaction of burning of dry leaves is as follows.

CH4  +2O2  →  CO2+ 2H2O

Instead of burning they can be composted to form humus. It is used to increase the strength of soil. Humus is a valuable component of soil.
