we should not burn fallen leaves as they are organic. That is they contain some amount carbon. combustion of carbon produces oxides of carbon which may cause various pulmonary diseases. It also produces carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas. Hence it is not advisable to burn fallen leaves.

However instead of burning leaves we can make compost out of it. Later this compost can be used as a manure.
