its natural for parents to play expectation for us they want us to be successful be good and live comfortably and even if they are not around things get out of control when they are unable to handle this expectation and place unreasonable amount of pressure on us this is especially true in the case of Indian middle class parents who have a lot of pressure on them sincere compared to US my advice is you to look beyond their behaviour to try readonalise it its going to be tough but try it Hope it helps you
