Most of the fabric which we use for making handkerchiefs,are good water absorbent materials due to their hydrophilic physical properties.Later,the water absorbent feature of the fabrics,is also observed in the handkerchiefs.

• The fibres of the fabric have a property of capillary action. Due to the presence of this capillary action,the the handkerchiefs are also able to soak significant amount of sweat (liquid) from our body.
