We use ball bearings between the hub and axle of ceiling for and bicycles. Why?

  • Ball bearings are used in axle of ceiling fans in all the blades are carefullly attached to the centre circle. So there is a friction between them. Huge heat will be produced and it will be dangerous to switch it on. Hence ball bearings reduce friction and help in usage of ceiling fan.
