We use 'eres' for 'are' with you in Spanish. We use 'es' with usted for 'are'. If we have to use are with boys, what would we use, son, eres or es?

son eres---- we have to use eres because it means you are,it prefers someone is whereas es means this is,it prefers a thing is.es refers an object and boys are not objects so eres should be used.

Reason :-

eres is used to denote the thing or a person , instead of using are we will use eres for boys...

But....

es is used to denote the objects or things instead of are , thus don't we use es....
