We want to put a fence around a rectangular plot. The fence costs ₹ 100 per meter.
The length and width of the plot are in the ratio 9:4 colon, 4. The total cost of the fencing comes out to be ₹ 7800

Find the length of the plot.

Answer:

Let say Length of Plot  = 9L  m

then Width of Plot = 4L  m

Perimeter of Plot = 2 ( Length + Breadth)

= 2 ( 9L + 4L)

= 2( 13L)

= 26 L m

The fence costs ₹ 100 per meter

=> Cost of Fencing = 26L * 100  = 2600L   Rs

2600L = 7800

=>L = 3

Length = 9L = 27 m

Width = 4L = 12 m

The length and width of the plot are 27 & 12 m
