HEY MATE ..✌✌✌

To obtain a real and inverted image of same size we must use CONVEX LENS.
In a convex lens when object is held at 2f than the image is formed real and inverted.
We know than:
2f = 2×f
i.e 4 =2×f
f = 4/2 = 2 m
hence, The focal length is 2 m.
The lens is placed at a distance of 4 mfrom the candle.

HOPE IT HELPED..✌✌✌

Explanation:The type of the lens used is Convex as we need to get real and inverted image.If the focal is 2f we get real and inverted image.So, Distance of Flame from lens = 4m = 4 For equal sized inverted image u = 2f = 4 f is the focal length of lens u=2f u=4 4/2=f f=2m The lens is placed at a distance of 4m from the candle. I hope it helped

Sorry for the closely arranged sentences
