Disaggregation or mechanical weathering. Also known as erosion process, the mechanical weathering is one of the geomorphological processes which is caused by agents atmosphere such as wind, rain, etc.

The soil erosion causes depletion of the soil. This process results in loss of rock minerals as a breakdown of the same occurs.

This is a primary Earth process. Climate, topography, structure of rock are significant factors causing changes in the face of the Earth.
