a = 10/a + 3

a = (10 + 3a)/a

a² - 3a - 10 = 0

a² - 5a + 2a - 10 = 0

a(a-5) + 2 (a-5) = 0

(a-5)(a+2) = 0

As we know that if the product of two terms is zero then either first term is equal to zero or second term is equal to zero.

a-5 = 0

a = 5

or,

a + 2 = 0

a = -2

Therefore,
