.in, .com, .us, .ag, All of these are domain extensions
.com is used for a commercial website
.in is used for the websites handling Indian businesses
Similarly, .us- USA and .ag - Argentina, these are the domains for the websites handling their country's businesses.
So, if you want to buy anything from India you have to go to Amazon.in
But if you have to buy from their original and commercial site, you have to go to Amazon.com.

If your website is commercial you can choose .com. if your website is related from India you can use .in
