To Find : number of white balloons he can purchase.

Solution:

100 blue balloons

Price = 60 cent

Cost of 100 Blue ballons =   100 * 60 cent  = 60 $

White Balloon Price  = 60/2 = 30 cent

White Balloons purchased = W

Cost of W white baloons  = W * 30 cent   = 0.3W  $

Total Amount = 150 $

=> 60 + 0.3W  = 150

=> 0.3W = 90

=> W = 300
