weight is a vector quantity as it has magnitude as well as direction as the gravitational acceleration is a vector quantity which has magnitude as well aa direction

Weight is a vector quantity.

→ Reason behind it - weight has magnitude and direction both.

→ We can almost say, weight is a kind of force by which our body gets attracted to earth due to its gravity.

→ As this weight, is directed towards the earth's gravity, it is directed downwards.
Hence the weight is vector quantity.
