weight is normal contact force but why we use its unit as Kilogram instead of N(newton) as its a normal contact force ?

You know by saying kg you are preferring it by mass in science but in regular life you are saying its weight but we know weight is mg which is a force acting downward.
And mass is scalar so we use kg instead of N.
