Let weight = w = 80Kg, r = radius of earth = 6380km, d = distance = 1600+6380 = 7980km
Weight of a body is inversely proportional to the square of its distance from center of earth, i.e.
w=k/d²
where k is constant
k = wd²
When the person is on earth, w = 80kgs and d = 6380Kms
therefore k = 80×6380²
When the person is 1600 away from the earth, w = x =?; d = 6380+1600=7980
k = wd²
80×6380²=x×7980²
x = 80×6380²/7980²
x = 51.13
The man will weigh 51.13 kgs 1600 away from earth surface.
