To Find: Lower limit of the modal class

Solution:

In the frequency distribution, h = 5

Class 95−99 has maximum frequency = 15

Therefore, 95−99  is the model class where l = 94.5  and fm  = 15

f1 = 12 and f2 = 4

Thus, as per the formula -

Mode = l + ( fm-f1/2fm - f1 - f2) × h

94.5 + ( 15 - 12 / 2 × 15 - 12 - 4 ) × 5

94.5 + ( 3/ 14) × 5

94.5 + 15/14

94.5 + 1.07

95.57
