Answer - As a result of his labour, he fared through his examinations with flying colours. When the result was declared, he managed to score A1 in all subjects. He had felt the confidence just after a week's self-control and hard work. He had just begun well, and half his achievement had already been accomplished. If you've ever seen the movie Mary Poppins, she says at one point that "Well begun is half done", meaning that if you get off to a good start in any endeavor, your chances of success are greatly improved.
