Hey friend here is your answer

Well poor bird she should have known that your song must be your own

The above lines have been taken from " The frog and the Nightingale " by "Vikram Seth"

Answer1. The nightingale in the above extract has been referred to as a " Poor Bird" because of her innocent , timid and shy nature . She easily came under the influence of the cruel and crafty frog and thus , lost her life .

Answer 2. It was all a crafty plan of the wicked frog who was jealous of her sweet voice .so he made her practise for long hours even in the rain because he wanted her to loose not only her voice but also her life .

Answer 3. These lines reflect the frogs authoritative ,cunning and wicked nature even after killing the poor bird he is finding fault in her

Hope it helps you
