Answer:

Frankly in order to draw a ray diagram for a bifocal lens, first we  draw the optical axis and principal axis, add two focal points, draw an object and three rays from the top of the object, trace the rays to form an image on the opposite side of the lens, and label the image with an arrow or shape, and the dotted lines connecting the object and image with "h" and "f" respectively.

Explanation:

Step 1: We draw the optical axis of the lens, which is a straight line passing through the center of the lens.

Step 2:  Moreover draw the principal axis, which is a horizontal line passing through the center of the lens.

Step 3: Additionaly we draw two focal points on the principal axis, one on either side of the lens. The focal point on the left is the far focal point (F1), and the focal point on the right is the near focal point (F2).

Step 4: Draw an object on the left-hand side of the lens, above the optical axis. The object should be below the far focal point (F1), and it should be an arrow or a simple shape.

Step 5: Draw three rays emanating from the top of the object. The first ray should be parallel to the principal axis and pass through the center of the lens. The second ray should pass through the near focal point (F2) and then through the lens. The third ray should pass through the center of the lens and then through the far focal point (F1).

Step 6: Use a ruler to draw the rays until they intersect with the opposite side of the lens.

Step 7: Draw the image formed by the lens by tracing the rays back to where they meet. The image should be on the opposite side of the lens from the object.

Step 8: Label the image with an arrow or a simple shape, and mark it "I."

Step 9: Use a dotted line to connect the top of the object to the top of the image, and label it "h." Draw another dotted line to connect the center of the lens to the image, and label it "f."
