The level of groundwater keeps decreasing and because of that wells are dried up. To prevent this, one should not waste water unnecessarily. Indirectly by rain: In this the rain water seeps under the ground and increases the water table which in turn increases the water level in the well. Now, since rain is the main source of refilling of these wells.
