Were all the six men unaware of the consequence of what they were doing? What do you think?

No one really can be sure regarding whether the six persons were aware of the dire consequences in the end. But It looks more plausible that they were actually unaware that they won’t be able to survive the cold. The very thought of death would have probably made people forget their discrimination against each other. Everyone wants to live at any cost. If they knew that they would be frozen to death, they would have cared to keep the fire burning, I guess.
