Most of the teachers at his school were traditional, orthodox teachers who taught by the book. Naturally, such teachers fail to understand the psychological aspects of their students. Understanding Albert, and bringing out his potential was beyond their ken. For example, Mr. Braun, the History teacher, and the Headmaster not only failed to see Albert’s genius, but they unjustly expelled him from the school. However, Mr. Koch, the math teacher, had the acumen to see Albert’s genius. He admitted Albert was wasting his prodigious talent at the school. He gave him such a commendation in his reference letter that it would certainly have helped him get admission in a college in Milan.
