Explanation:
Has Western education brought more harm than good?
So I'm going to try and not offend anyone, becuase what I have to say is a little sensitive.
I am from South Africa. In the sense that I am from the continent of Africa, I am African. My experience being an African that is white and has a stronger European culture in my background means that I am more inclined to Western style of education. From what I have seen alround me, people here do not see this in the same way. It is hard to truly describe how much the cultural oppression contained in western culture does not fit with indigenous culture. I will suffice to say that I think education shoul
Western Enlightenment, or Scottish Common Sense Philosophy… as learned from ancient Hebrews, Greeks, Romans and Gothic Christians… and later best understood by Founding Father of the US… is the best education.
To destroy humanity, some people invented Progressive (1984-Dystopian) Education. It is designed to destroy the human spirit, soul and body. This evil ed system is now universal. Those who teach it despise Western Enlightenment?
The answer, then, is to defund Prog (1984) Ed. Not another brain washed.
Prog Ed teaches “morals are, heh heh, relative… so you can’t complain when the tyrant smashes your face with the jackboot, forever?”
Western Enlightenment teaches “No man can be the judge in his own case.”
Which do you prefer?
It’s actually brought more good than harm, although you wouldn’t know that if you listened to most history and literature professors who’ve made a career out of running down Western everything.
Remember, education itself isn’t what led to so many governmental abuses around the world. Corrupt kings, leaders, and a few robber barons did that.
I know this is a huge argument. But running down a largely successful cultural history that gradually reached out to help more and more people in spite of its frequent errors, is hardly the road to salvation. People need to learn what’s moral, what’s not, and ultimately, what works for the good of families and individuals. And at its best, Western education, until recently, has largely demonstrated the best way forward. Our job today is to broaden this success further to educate those who, for various reasons — like primarily corrupt local governments — have little chance to improve their lives on their own.
My thoughts, anyway. To do the topic justice hope it helps
