More is the difference in the vapour pressure, greater is the rate of evaporation. Therefore, the rate of evaporation on a hot day is greater than that on a cold day. Also, when it is hot, the process of evaporation fastens up. Therefore, wet clothes dry more quickly on a warm day than on a cold day.
