Wh does endocytosis occur only in animal cells and not in plant cells?

endocytosis occurs only in animal cells because it is the swallowing process of food and other substances (bacteria,viruses) from external medium by the plasma membrane.thus possible only when plasma membrane is in direct contact with external medium.but in plant cell there is also a cover on plasma membrane which is cell wall that's why endocytosis not found in plant cell.
