The nature of SiO (Silicon Monoxide) is acidic.

- There mainly three types of chemical substances :

1) Acidic.

2) Basic.

3) Neutral.

- The chemical substances which can react with basic substances to some extent are simply categorised as the acidic substances.

- Similarly, the silicon monoxide can react with strong basic materials which makes it slightly acidic in nature.

- SiO cannot react with acids,so being acidic substance is omitted.

- And,a neutral substance cannot react with basic substance like SiO so being a basic substance is also omitted.
