Turner's syndrome is a disorder occur due to chromosomal abnormalities. The chromosomal rearrangement will be 44+ XO

Explanation:

  • Turner's syndrome occur due to non disjunction of X chromosome during gamete formation
  • If non-disjunction occur during gamete formation 22 chromosomes and two X chromosome move in one direction and 22 chromosomes and no sex chromosomes moves in opposite direction
  • as a result two types of gamete form. one is 22+XX and other is 22+O.
  • If this gamete 22+0 fuse with a normal sperm 22+X , a child with turner's syndrome developed, 44+XO. O represent no sex chromosome.
  • The Child with turner's syndrome are phenotypically female with limited secondary sexual characteristics and sterile.
  • in this disorder chromosome number is 45 instead of 46

Turners Syndrome is caused by partial or complete loss (monosomy) of the second sex chromosome .Chromosomes are found in nucleas of all body cells. They carry the genetic characteristics of each individual and they come in pairs. We receive one copy from each parent.
