6CO2+6H2O+light energy==>C6H12O6+6O2

co2 is taken from atmosphere in the form of gas.

h2o is mainly the water given by xylem tissue from the roots to the leaves.

sunlight is absorbed by the chloroplasts.

light reaction takes place in the matrix of the chloroplasts leading to the breaking of water molecules into hydrogen and oxygen.

chemical reaction takes place with H2,O2 and CO2 with sunlight leading to the formation of starch which is stored in the form of glucose and transported through phloem cells to other parts of the plant

O2 is given out in the atmosphere as the product if the reaction.

photosynthesis only Takes place during day time.

hope it helps!
