Dwarf planets are the celestial bodies revolving around the sun.

They are called as dwarf planets because they are like planets but small in size due to which they are not actully a planet.

Such planets are found near the kuiper belt.

Example of such dwarf planets is Pluto, Ceres, Eris, etc.

Dwarf Planet Facts. There are 5 officially recognised dwarf planets in our solar system, they are Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake and Eris. With the exception of Ceres, which is located in the asteroid belt, the other dwarf planets are found in the outer solar system.
