Is syrup a suspension or colloid? A colloid is an insoluble microscopic particulate suspended in a liquid, so there is a liquid part and a solid part to the mix. However, in syrup, the sugar is completely dissolved into the liquid, so there is no solid part remaining.

all the best for your maths exam..
