. In this context , kalam narrates his memorable experience with his mother and family in the matter of eating food.

. EXPLANATION

. One day , during World War 2 years, Kalamś mother had made chapattis instead of rice as food was rationed .

. Kalam sat at his place on the floor and could eat as many as he could without thinking of otherś needs .

. Later that night his elder brother took him aside and scolded him for eating many chapattis unnoticingly.

. He softined kalam saying that their mother would go hungry that night due to nothing left for her to eat.

. That moment of shame broken kalams heart . After that , kalam never repeated such a mistake.
