Answer:

A parasitic relationship is one in which one organism, the parasite, lives off of another organism, the host, harming it and possibly causing death. The parasite lives on or in the body of the host. The parasite adapts to its environment by living in and using the host in ways that harm it.

Guest-Host Relationship

Hospitality is and was highly revered in both Ancient and present day Greece. Unlike other countries, it is customary to have a random stranger stay in your home. And most hosts develop relationships with their guests. However, that is not the definition of “guest-host relationship”. The guest-host relationship, or xenia, as the Greeks refer to it as, were influential for the Greek travelers in the time period of the Iliad. The travelers traveled long distances in short and long durations of time, and when the journey became tiresome, the traveler could not simply turn to a motel. The homes of the local residents were the motels. And therefore the travelers relied upon their host to provide them with food, water, and protection, and as the guest, it was important that the favor was returned.

This website provides the definition of a guest-host relationship and the usage of it in ancient Greek times. Even though the website does not contain a lot of information, it does cover the main points of the importance of a guest-host relationship.
