Tommy referred that old, crinkly book as a waste but the books are a store house of knowledge so, i don't think that's really a waste books are our best companions to us all times friends may on may not remain with us but our books remain with us through our thick and thins so its rightly said, " so books are to be tasted some to be chewed still some to be swallowed and some to be digested ." books never betray humans . they always provide newness any time any where. so, books can't be a waste

Answer :

This question is based on the short story 'The Fun They Had' by Isaac Asimov.

In the story, Tommy refers to the old and withered book the he had discovered as a waste.

The book is not a waste as they are the powerhouses of knowledge. Books are the best companions as they do not demand anything back from us and nourish our minds with knowledge and experiences.
