First, the domestic animal is bred, they are sold by the breeder to the owner. If the owner changes its habitat, then similarly the domestic animal also change their habits.

And most importantly if the animal is sold again to someone else in return for money, then the adult form also loses its habitat and gets adapted to the new habitat.
