What about sugar and salt when kept in different jars these take the shape of the jar are they soid?

yes! sugar is solid and salt is fine solid particles we can say and it doesn't takes the shape of jar the only thing is that the molecules of sugar and salt tries to adjust themselves in the container/jar .thus, resembling the shape of jar.

Yes they are solids actually they do not take the shape of jar the only thing they do is to try to adjust into that space because they are usually in a powdered form but if u will try to look it by zooming it they will not having the same shape as of the containers
