Ans- RAM- Ram stands for Random Access Memory. It is volatile in the sense that it temporarily holds
data and instructions that is needed shortly by CPU. Whenever the computer is powered off,
the content of the RAM is lost.
ROM- It stands for Real Only Memory. These are non volatile memories. Thus data stored is
permanent, even when power is not there. ROMs are used to store micro programs made by
manufacturer in the ROM and are also called Firmware.
