Answer :- There are 3 main functions of imagination:-

1) Penetrative Imagination - This imagination is about external fact and inner truth.

2) Associative Imagination - This imagination expresses thought of artist.

3) Contemplative Imagination - This imagination gradually evolves into a theory of symbolism.

the above kinds of imagination find their correspondence in the orders of truth.

Ruskin’s idea of romantic imagination had a major role to play in the works of the romantic poets.
