Answer:

Hello. I am going to talk about advantages and disadvantages of two concepts which are “a traveller” and “an armchair traveller”.

Let’s start with being a traveller. First of all, I want to define what a traveller means. A traveller is a person who makes a journey usually over a long distances. Well, there are some advantages of being a traveller.

The first advantage is Meeting new people

The world contains lots of countries and not all people are the same. When people are travelling, they get the opportunity to meet different people from different places.

Second advantage is Admiring true beauty

No words can describe the people’s feeling when they are gazing upon the Mona Lisa or admiring the ceiling of the Hagia Sophia.

Another advantage is Getting Outside People’s Comfort Zone

Traveling helps people to push themself outside of their comfort zone. It provides them with a whole new perspective.

Another advantage is Making Memory

When people travel with their friends and family, they create memories that last a lifetime. Good things have a limited life span but memories last forever.

On the other hand, being a traveller has some crucial disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is that it is expensive

Costs of travelling are often quiet high for example travelling by plane, Therefore, naturally not everyone can afford.

Other disadvantage is that it is quite dangerous

Journeys especially foreign ones expose people to danger of disease or even death. Travelling can lead to fall ill or in case of fatal accidents.

Another disadvantage is that it is Effortful

Most journeys last very long and it can make people feel tired.

Now, let’s look for second concept that is being an armchair traveller. First of all, I want to define what an armchair traveller means? An armchair traveller is a person who can visit distant corners of the World without leaving his/her armchair. Well, there are some advantages of being an armchair traveller. The first advantage is that it is Cheap

When the library is full of travel literature and guidebooks, Armchair travel need cost people nothing at all.

Another advantage is that it is Effortless

There will be no exhausting journeys, no struggles with the language and no missed flights.

Other advantage is that it is Safe

Armchair trip, faces nothing more dangerous than a spilt cup of coffee.

Another advantage is that it is No Planning Required

Armchair travel is perfect for the organisationally challenged, because there is absolutely no planning required.

Now it is time to talk about disadvantages of being an armchair traveller. Actually, there is one point to worth talking. The main point is that it is like virtual reality. People can not experience travel in real way when they are an armchair traveller. İt is a poor substitude of real travelling. That is all I can say about disadvantages of being an armchair traveller.

Now it is time of my opinions. I prefer the concept which is being a traveller. Because it contains real traveller meaning. I think the armchair travelling is nothing more than reading books and watching documentaries. Real travel is seeing and feeling a place physically. I want to talk about my idea through an example. Let's have a trip to the Moon. People are excited to travel anywhere in the world. Won't people who go to the Moon be excited? I think people will be crazy when they are travelling to the Moon. Moreover, do reading books and watching documentaries about the Moon mean real travel or does stepping on the Moon mean real travel? The decision is yours. Thanks For Reading
