What according to you is the poet trying to teach the readers through the poem television​

The poet is trying to teach the readers to not to use television or rather not install it in your home at all. He thinks that it destroys the imagination of the child and the child just sits and stares at the television. He wants the children to read books like they used to before television was installed.
