momentum stands for....
moment--movement..
um--short time interval..
momentum is generally and state of motion for short time.....and the cause of this motion is a force...or simply....
suppose...u have thrown a ball horizontally....which after few minutes came into rest....
that ball possess momentum.....which means movement for short time interval.........
