Answer:

(a) Penguins have webbed feet for powerful swimming. Their bodies are streamlined to reduce drag in water. Their wings, shaped like flippers, also help them "fly" underwater at speeds up to 15 mph.

(b) All snails living on land have made many adaptations to survive. Their main adaptation is their evolution from aquatic organisms to terrestrial, or land, organisms. They have done this by losing their gills and forming air breathing lungs.

(c) Polar bears are well adapted for survival in the Arctic. Their adaptations include: a white appearance - as camouflage from prey on the snow and ice. thick layers of fat and fur - for insulation against the cold.

(d)

Elephants have many adaptations that allow them to thrive in their warm habitats. Their big ears and wrinkly skin help them stay cool. They also have tusks made of ivory that can help them eat and protect themselves
