Answer:

There are lots of evolutionary advantages that humans have over other animals, especially other mammals.

1.Upright posture allowed true bipedal motion. It involves more than you think. Even Neanderthals, who were very strong and mostly upright, were missing the efficiency of homo sapiens bipedalism. It takes significantly less energy for humans to move.

2.Ability to sweat to maintain body temperature and to eliminate most body hair. Very few animals have the ability to cool off their bodies as efficiently. In fact, even today there are tribes whose mode of hunting is to chase down prey over many miles and hours, inevitably resulting in the heat exhaustion collapse of the animal so that the hunters could conclude the hunt.

3.Hand and arm dexterity, that allowed humans the ability to throw spears rather than stab. This lead to group hunts at far less danger to the hunters, since a hunting party could worry a predator to death at little exposure to the members of the party.

4.Hand dexterity that allowed humans to create changes to their environment. This included cooking food and creating complex tools. Cooked food provided much more and better protein at less work. This meant that humans could spend their time on things other than chewing food.

5.Verbalization that allowed hunting parties to communicate complex strategies for hunting for food, or protection against attacks.

6.Sense of community responsibility which meant it was the responsibility of every member of the tribe to protect the rest of the tribe, and especially the family.

7.An enlarged brain, with growth in areas of complex thinking. Of course there was a reduction in some other senses.
