Aquatic animals have to respite through the oxygen present in water which is in the dissolved state and thus less in amount. Terrestrial animals take oxygen from air and thus have lot of oxygen comparitively to aquatic animals . Thus terrestrial animals breath slowly and have fairly large amount of oxygen than aquactics.
