Answer

Terrestrial organisms can breathe slower as there is lot of oxygen content in the atmosphere whereas aquatic organisms breathe very fast because oxygen is present in very less quantities in dissolved form in the water.

                                                   Or

Rate of breathing in aquatic organisms is much higher than seen in terrestrial organisms due to less amount of dissolved oxygen present in the water.

Hope this helps!!

Aquatic organisms use oxygen dissolved in surrounding water . Since air dissolved in water has fairly low concentration of oxygen , the aquatic organisms have much faster rate of breathing .

Terrestrial organisms take oxygen from

the oxygen-rich atmosphere through

respiratory organs . Hence , they have

much less breathing rate than aquatic

organisms .
