Hey mate here's your answer ...

Answer:

Terrestrial organisms take up oxygen from the atmosphere where as aquatic animals obtain oxygen from water. Air contains more O2 as compared to water. Since the content of O2 in air is high , the terrestrial do not have to breathe faster to get more oxygen.

Animals living in water need use the oxygen dissolved in water. However the amount of dissolved oxygen is fairly low compared to the amount of oxygen in the air .

Aquatic organisms use oxygen dissolved in surrounding water . Since air dissolved in water has fairly low concentration of oxygen , the aquatic organisms have much faster rate of breathing .

Terrestrial organisms take oxygen from

the oxygen-rich atmosphere through

respiratory organs . Hence , they have

much less breathing rate than aquatic

organisms .
